1. Introduction
This policy applies to the return of goods and/or services, bought from us, Kopano Group by you (“the Buyer”).
2. Refund Policy
2.1 No Refunds, Only Credits
Kopano Group does not offer refunds unless required by law. Instead, we provide the buyer with credit on their account to be used for future services. Kopano Group reserves the right to determine the value of such credit.
2.2 Compliance with Anti-Money Laundering
All refunds are subject to compliance with internal anti-money laundering protocols.
2.3 Incidental Costs
Any refund may be subject to incidental costs such as bank charges, Cancellation Fee to apply as per management descrection, which will be deducted from the refund amount.
3. Licensing and Training
3.1 Licensing Services
For Kopano Group’s licensing services, the full invoice (100%) is payable before access to our online system or any documentation (our intellectual property) is granted. This amount is non-refundable if the client decides not to proceed with the transaction.
3.2 Online Training Programmes
Kopano Group offers a 7-day Money Back Guarantee on its online training programmes, calculated from the day the learner is granted access to our training website/portal. After the 7-day period, no refund or cancellation will be available.
4. Proof of Purchase
4.1 Requirement of Proof
When returning services and/or goods, you must present the original tax invoice or other valid proof of purchase.
5. Discretionary Returns
5.1 Returns at Kopano Group’s Discretion
Where goods and/or services are not defective, or where you do not have a statutory right to return them, Kopano Group may, at its discretion, choose to accept the return, replace the goods/services, or issue a refund. This is done in good faith and does not indicate an admission of liability or a precedent for future returns.
6. Legal Obligations for Returns
6.1 Consumer Protection
Kopano Group will only accept returns when required by relevant laws, including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008.
7. Direct Marketing Purchases
7.1 Return of Direct Marketing Goods
Kopano Group will accept returns of goods/services purchased through direct marketing, provided that the intention to return is communicated within 5 business days of delivery and the goods/services are returned within 10 business days at the buyer’s own risk and expense.
8. Returns for Uninspected or Incorrect Goods
8.1 Conditions for Returns
Kopano Group will accept returns if:
- You were not given a reasonable opportunity to inspect the goods/services and they do not meet the agreed-upon specifications.
- Goods/services you ordered were mixed with those you did not order.
- Goods/services are unsuitable for their specified purpose, provided that purpose was communicated and agreed upon.
All returns must be made within 1 business day of delivery.
9. Charges for Returned Goods
9.1 Imposing Charges
Kopano Group may impose a reasonable charge where:
- Goods/services are not in their original condition (e.g., damaged, contaminated).
- Goods returned in tankers do not meet the original test results, rendering them unfit for return.
- Documentation has been received or work has begun on a service.
- Goods/services have been consumed beyond what is necessary to determine their acceptability.
10. Prohibited Returns
10.1 No Returns Allowed
Kopano Group will not accept returns under the following conditions:
- Public health regulations prohibit the return.
- The consumer had a change of heart.
- The product/service was created specifically for the consumer.
- The goods/services have been altered contrary to instructions.
- The goods/services have been used, discharged into another facility, or blended with other goods.
11. Refund Processing
11.1 Timeframe
Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receiving the required documentation from the client, subject to Kopano Group Management approval.
