Kopano International Group is a group of companies that was established with humble beginnings in 2008 in Bloemfontein over the years, the Dynamics of the company has ranged from procurement, transport and moved into the Diesel segment of the market and has grown from strength to strength into a global organizing specializing in supplying Petroleum products to the Africa market and global trades.

The main focus is on secure allocation from various global Refinery’s and Re sellers, and to then trade the product down stream to Corporate clients, Airlines and Mega Traders on the global market

Kopano International Group subsidiary companies  in  South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, United Kingdom and  Dubai and Geneva to follow shortly.

Kopano Petroleum South Africa  has a Level 2 BEE Score card and is a value added supplier, with 51% Black Ownership and 100% Woman Ownership as per the South African legal requirements and standards.

Strategic  partnerships have been entered into with various companies and individuals , in various countries to ensure that trade and industry standards are met globally, also to empower our trade partners to become successful individuals in their own businesses

Bernadette van der Berg

Group CEO

Bernadette van der Berg was founding member and Managing Director of large truck rental & logistics company,  that started off in with humble beginnings in 2000 with 1 truck, and built the business over 20 years to a national company that owned over 300 trucks, The main business function was to assist blue chip corporations to deliver their product to market and to cross boarder countries on a daily basis.  Through a national footprint with offices in Bloemfontein, Welkom, Kuruman, Cape Town, Durban & Johannesburg.

Bernadette was also actively involved in building up a property portfolio with various other entities within the group.

2010 Bernadette was a finalist in the Nedbank Business Woman Association Business Achievers Awards for the Free State.  She is also actively involved in her community with various community projects.

Bernadette is also the founding member and the current CEO of Kopano Group of companies represented in South Africa, Botswana, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe, and Zambia, Dubai and Geneva to follow soon.  She has always believed in empowering people around her and she is doing same on a Global level through the current international commodity trades with Petroleum Products.

Bernadette sees herself a growth entrepreneur that is able to identify  an opportunity and need in the market.  Then is able to apply logical solutions to run a successful  Corporation.  Her was experience in Marketing &  Sales, Operations, Finance, Corporate governance, Legal matters,  Admin support & structures as well as Human Resource makes her successful in all her endeavours.

Nelly Dasheka

Mafani Nelly Dasheka has the following academic records:

  Education:

  • Diploma in Secretarial Studies – Commercial Training Institute – Lesotho.
  • Diploma in Office Admin – Damelin Bloemfontein.
  • Bachelor in Management Leadership (BML) Degree from the University of the Free State, Bloemfontein.
 

  Work experience:

  • She worked for SACCAWU (South African Commercial, Catering and Allied Workers Union).
  • She then worked for the Free State Gengold Management Training at the University  of the Free State.
  • She moved to SABC and worked for Lesedi fm. She then got a transfer to the Technology Business Unit.
  • Worked as Communications Officer for the SABC Free State / N. Cape Region and she was also responsible for the Marketing of SABC facilities especially the M1 Music studio.
  • Managing Director of Quantum Leap Investments (Pty) Ltd from 2002 to date.
  • Management of Quantum Leap Investments and its subsidiaries – QLI Construction; QLI Properties; QLI Logistics and QLI Project Management & Consulting.-
  • Set and coordinate targets, Project Management, Financial planning, and implementation together with the company Accountant; Responsible for Human Resource together with the HR Consultant; Marketing of the QLI brand; Procurement and tenders; Coordination of duties of all employees with senior management.-Performance reviews for Senior management.- Stakeholder management

Rodgers Mudarikwa

Rodgers graduated with a Degree in Theology. He is also pursuing BA (Honours) in Business Administration at the University of Cumbria in North West England. The well-versed leader founded Medway Medical Supplies in 2019, intending to provide innovative medical technologies for diagnosis, treatment, and surgical equipment. A learning mindset, a focus on connecting with others, and believing in his vision have paved the way for his success. His focus on connecting with others has also helped him create a strong support network of like-minded individuals, who believe in his abilities.

Rodgers attributes his company’s success to his talented and dedicated teammates. Like a true leader, he motivates his team members to strive for greatness and never give up. The empathetic leader also ensures their work-life balance so that nobody misses out on meaningful family time. He believes that a healthy work-life balance is essential for any team to be productive and happy, both in and out of work.

Strong Business Acumen

Rodgers is adept at making sound business decisions. He has a proven track record of delivering tangible results. Over the years, the goal-oriented leader has developed a deep understanding of the business landscape and the ability to identify market trends and opportunities. He has invested a tremendous amount of time and energy into understanding the industry and the people who operate within it. He then used that knowledge to build a team to help him achieve his vision. The leader says, “After starting the firm with only a basic understanding of how the industry operates, I made it my mission to research, learn, network, and hire the right team to bring my vision to life.”

Under Rodgers’ able leadership, Medway Medical Solutions has expanded its footprint and presence in Harare, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. With 22 distribution agreements and licenses directly from manufacturers and multinational corporations in China, the United States, Brazil, Singapore, and South Africa, Medway Medical Supplies has grown to be a household name and a trustworthy partner in the medical supply industry and the brand ambassador for each of its manufacturers. 

Rodger has also entered the Petroleum space in Africa and jointly working with Kopano Group to assist the African continent with their Petroleum requirements.

The goal-oriented leader consistently focuses on diversifying the company’s with continuous growth to different market sectors were his entrepreneurial spirit leads him.

Cromet Molapo

Nsizwa Cromet Molepo obtained his B Com degree in Economic Science in 1987, as well as a Gradate Diploma in Civil Engineering from Wits University in 1998.  Attended Harvard Governance Programmes on “ Financing of Inftrastructure in a Market Economy” and IMD ( Switszeland on Change Management.  He is a Certiffied Management Consultant (CMC), Certified Couch with Leadership Management Institute (LMI).  Candidate  PhD, with Thesis title  “A Framework for Infrastructure Development in Africa to Integrate Transport, Energy, ICT, and Water Networks.

Cromet has a diverse employment history and vast experience in the Private, Corporate and Government segments of the market.  Since 2020, he has been an annual guest lecturer for Post Grad Students at  UCT on on the topic. “Scenario Depicting Reputation Management of an Organisationalso a Lecturer from 1985 to 1987,  and then spent 3 years in commercial Real Estate Development space as a senior Advisor to the Minister of Public Works from 1995 to 1999.

Cromet has serrved as Executive Director at  Eskom Enterprises  and spent 6 years, in their Real Estate Portfolio for Acquisitions, Development, Facility Management, ICT services, Human Resources, Consulting Services as well as Safire Air (Fixed wing and Helicopters). Mr Molepo also spent three and half years as the CEO of Saab Grintek in Nigeria, serving both the East and West African Market.

Cromet  also served as the Head of ABSA Corporate Real Estate  and managed their Group Portfolio to ensure that the group remained compliant with all standards and regulations relating to the built environment with the Republic of South Africa and within Africa.

From 2010 to 2018 Mr Molepo held several positions within the Passenger Rail Agency of SA; which included CEO of Intersite Investments, PRASA CRES and Act GCEO of Prasa. Since 2018 has been CEO of Robert Howard Investments, and Secure Communication World  who specializes in Consultancy services, commodity trading and ICT soft and hardware solutions.

In 2023 he joined the  Kopano Group, and is the founding member of Kopano Importers Zimbabwe,  with main focus on profitable business development and growth into the African Market and globally in the Petroleum – Diesel and A1 Jet Fuel space.
